Recently, we reached a significant milestone by successfully delivering a consignment of Hydraulic buffers to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for its Arrester Barrier System—a crucial component in defence airfield safety.
The defence sector is one of the most critical industries, where every component must pass through rigorous quality checks and extensive testing before deployment. Adonitech’s hydraulic Hydraulic buffers successfully met all required performance criteria and were approved for use in DRDO’s Arrester Barrier System, a Make-in-India initiative aimed at reducing dependency on imported equipment.
The Arrester Barrier System, which was previously imported from the USA, is now being developed indigenously in India. ADRDE (Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment), a unit of DRDO, approached Adonitech with the requirement to manufacture locally developed Hydraulic buffers as a replacement for imported shock absorbers installed at 24 air stations across India.
The challenge? To create a highly durable, rust-resistant, and terrain-adaptive buffer system that meets DRDO’s strict specifications and comes with a 7-year warranty. Additionally, the system had to undergo one year of rigorous in-house testing before final approval.
The buffer is designed to absorb shock by Spool /Zvariable Orifice method and the return is Due to the nitrogen charged accumulator.
With this development, Adonitech’s buffers have set a new benchmark in India’s defence manufacturing sector, strengthening the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).

This successful project with DRDO and ADRDE paves the way for more indigenous defence solutions, reducing India’s reliance on imports and reinforcing our position as a trusted manufacturer of high-performance Hydraulic buffers. Earlier Adonitech has supplied Buffers/shock absorbers for Arrester barriers used to 20 Tonne aircrafts now Adonitech has also developed and supplied Buffer’s/Shock Absorbers for 40 Tonne Aircrafts.
